Kelley St. Luminary Display: Dec. 22nd and 23rd

WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO SIGN UP FOR SUNDAY
(but watch this site and emails for information if it is raining)

This Sunday, December 23rd, the neighborhood off of Kelley St. (Middle School side-entrance) is hosting its bi-annual luminary display to benefit the American Cancer Society. Every other year, NHS helps out with this worthwhile and ambitious event, which draws people from Medway as well as many other towns. The streets are lined with paper bags with sand and lit candles, and people can drive through the neighborhood and are welcome (but not required) to make donations to the American Cancer Society in various collection boxes.

On Saturday, NHS will be filling the paper bags with sand and candles, then delivering them to the houses that require them, if necessary. We could help from 1M - 4PM on Saturday, December 22nd at the Welch's house (check your email for address). The following day, Sunday, we will be helping to handle the collections as well as directing traffic in the neighborhood. For Sunday, we want at least 15 people to help , but the more the merrier, and the more likely we will get to take more breaks inside. On Sunday, the display starts at 5:30 and ends at 7:30, but we are asking volunteers to help from 3:30 until about 8PM on December 23rd. If you can help, please leave a comment with your name and specifics (time and day available). Thank you for helping this worthy cause!

For any clarification, I meant that I could arrive around 4:15-4:30 and stay until whenever
